The art work that you are seeing is a collection of many years and many stages of progress. I have been a painter for the last 15 years, but an artist all my life.
I feel strongly that it is every persons responsibility to make his journey through this life more beautiful than it was before he passed through. As an artist, I have been lucky enough to be able to focus on this. My home is full of art, and I am happy to share what I have with you. I hope that some of it resonates with you.
Some of the recurring themes in my art are things that have brought me happiness, like the Christmas images. Others of my images are based on the ideas and thoughts currently on my mind.
I have always drawn and painted people. An artist is often alone in his studio, and rarely with others in a business or social setting. I have learned that other people in my life are what really energizes me. I enjoy people-learning their history and getting to know their personalities. I think this comes out in my portraits. Each line and wrinkle of their face is a bend in the path they have walked through this life, an experience that has carved or softened more of their face. In other words, people show their life’s experiences and personality in their features and countenance. I am lucky enough to study and paint them.
I hope you enjoy these images. If you are interested in these images, please contact me. Originals are marked either sold or available. All images are availiable as Gicle’es on canvas or paper.
